Hey everyone,
Welcome to New York Autographs! My name is David and, as my blog title suggests, I am an autograph collector based in the great city of New York. After a few years of collecting mainly through the mail, I finally came to my senses early last year and decided to collect in person-and take advantage of the many opportunities that the area has to offer. I do lots of collecting at Broadway theatres, at TV shows, and at the old-fashioned autograph convention. Recently, I wrote to Autograph Magazine and offered to write about my experiences-and possibly conduct some celebrity interviews for them as well! The editor loved my ideas, and hired me in a New York minute. So far, for the magazine, I've interviewed such sports legends as Mario Andretti, Mike Ditka, Bob Feller, Gaylord Perry, and Pete Rose. And of course there's more to come. Also, I've been hoping to realize my dream of promoting autograph conventions. Obviously, that comes with a price-so hopefully I will be able to start doing private signings with baseball celebrities. The way these normally work, as most sports collectors would know, is that customers will send in an item with a postage-paid envelope, along with any other requests they may have. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know if there are any celebrities you may want me to try to get. Otherwise, I'm going to try to book Yankees and Mets legends (Told you I was biased!) for possible signings this summer. But bye for now!
